the W is a weird album. i have a copy but i never listen to it. i should listen to it again. it was the one where ghostface really started going mental wasn't it. crying on issac hayes' shoulder and so on.
One of my favourite tunes, despite some pretty mediocre Prodigy verses and a so terrible its good verse by whatshisface (''Soon as I get to the tel I'm gonna bend you over'')...
The way he flips that sample for that beat is bang on.
mop - here today gone tomorrow - this was a single but not with a video
mobb deep get at me - not a single but a brilliant track, slow 70's bond disco
federation 18 dummy - just sick - they're well under rated.
e 40 tell me where to go
Dem franchise boys
ridin rims - enjoyable specifics.
david banner
like a pimp
nice n slow again probably not his best track but pretty heavy
clipse - grindin - ridiculous
dilla fuck the police - the beat is totally nicked but it's that calm parochial melody underneath combined with just fierce anger that's the killer blow.
As much as he stands for the Pepsi Gangsta commercialisation of hip-hop and all that jazz, and however rubbish his voice sounds post-getting-shot-in-the-face... gigantic beat, great tune.
glad to see some alchemist apprecition. didnt think he'd be gimmicky enough for dissensus.
this is a gorgeous poppy one. is this the one he gave to rass kass too?
