I dunno, I mean yeah it sucks that it's such a big deal for women, but it's hardly as if IMDB were slandering her or making up untruths. There's something a bit weird in her lying to the site about her age and then suing when they didn't fall for it. She looks pretty good for 41, anyway.

TBH I posted it mainly for the title of the film she was in, which let's face it is superb.

No, but she'd asked them to take it down (am I remembering correctly) and they hadn't. That's just shittiness, and if she can prove it has a direct effect upon her livelihood, then they're aiding employment discrimination out of , what, spite (dunno the exact law on this tho)..? I think the fact she looks good for 41 is why she was upset, as her age hadn't yet counted against her til the imdb thing!

Just to shove my oar into something on which I really have very little opinion...
... I think that if people can ask to have facts removed from directories and other information sources simply because they don't like them then that would have repercussions for their usefulness in the future.
OK, with someone's age there is a question of privacy (though arguably you forfeit some of that when you move into the public sphere) but why should it stop there? Can you ask them not to print hegative reviews or other adverse facts? If true information can be barred from the public domain then where can you find it?
