he needs to reach out to the local media though. then the story could gain traction and i could even see woops becoming something of a local activist turned politician
yes, local media will lap it up and edmund must make himself the figurehead of the campaign. act early though if you're serious about saving the place. don't dawdle.

the coach and horses is being run by some people we know at the moment it's alright

the white hart isn't bad either when the football is not on, nice garden and pinball table

the problem with them both and every other pub in stoke newington is they charge around £6 a pint. beer somehow imperceptibly became a luxury item over the past decade or so. even the most expensive bottled beer in the Rochester is under £4, ales even cheaper. this is one of the things that makes it what it is.

stoke newington is also an upper middle class stronghold and loads of media people live there so there's every chance the guardian will pick the story up. its wetherspoons oldest surviving pub too.

the wheatsheaf despite being an out of the way hole in the wall run by Irish is £6 pint

the bird cage is run by craft union £8 pint of gamma ray

last 2 times i went to the jolly butchers i found foreign matter floating in my £6 pints

clarence is a restaurant/deli now not a pub

the Rochester is the only one where people aren't scared of strangers

@woops what both you and this pub have is a liquidity problem: the only way to save anything in a capitalist world is by spending money. Why not offer to pay for all of the drinks you're going to have this year up-front.

But I thought that that demographic hates Wetherspoons because all the proles and because of the furlough thing.
