god this set is so frustrating
listening to that fucking amazing beat that was on fuck radio and then that getting mixed into gotta man and hearing some waste mc over the top. ever 8 bar im like 'pass it to p-money' but he just goes on and on and rides both the beats out. honestly this has made me so angry.
lots of sound problems at the bug, which is a big shame considering how good the system at 3rd bass used to be. levels kept dipping & cutting out during both kode9 and the bug, until the system fully died just as flow dan & killa p came on.
a lot of people were leaving at this point (around 2.30) but i stuck around and i'm happy i did - the sound got sorted eventually and the bug (with guests) and flylo both absolutely smacked it. flow dan and killa p should play with the bug every single night, i swear.

Shit, Dan, if I'd have known you were there I'd have at least found out what you actually look like.
But yeah, Smallz was sick, a lot of the night is a smoky haze really but it was live, best time I've had at FWD in an age. Not that I'm there that often at the moment but all the same.

ikonika blended some of her own awesome awesome stuff with some nice 2005 era bits, it was sounding great to me! everyone else there was being quite polite and reverential lol - clapping politely haha.
yeah the bug was well disappointing, they booked that venue specifically because of the PA and it was doing them no favours at all. killa p approached me and my mate at the bus stop afterwards to thank us for coming, that was a surprise lol. then later at another bus stop in ldn bridge we ran into warrior queen, who also thanked us for coming and apologised loads for the sound. lol.

yeah the lyrical content is pretty vile but then the breakdown does take the edge off it, makes it seem a bit less menacing. for me the whistles are doing a lot for this track.
