Fuzzy is holding back on the MP3 releases to next year. He has just repressed his EP and its in all the shops so it's not really necessary at the moment.

I gotta say I'm confused by the emphasis on vinyl in a scene that was born out of CDJs. Seems a very 19thC model. I can kind of see why people would get vexed by 'only' making a quid off a tune but the amount you make there is only limited by how well you make people aware of your product. You press up 500 white labels, you sell 400/450, thats the end of the profit making before you re-invest... & in a scene where the next generation of bedroom DJs are lookin up at guys on CD decks, I'm not convinced only putting out vinyl is gonna work.
I guess what I'm saying is if people manufacture scarcity then they shouldn’t be surprised when the ‘marketplace’ fills that niche.
That bein said, I wouldn't get dubplate.net to sell a slighty used goat on my behalf & someone needs to tell Fuzzy Logik that not only are they sellin his tunes as downloads but they are also giving em away for free :slanted:

im surprised that 'white label cds' arent more common but i think its like, if youre gonna do physical copies, cds are a bit worthless, esp when people can just make their own from mp3s. but vinyl just seems cumbersome and expensive. the only reason for doing it now from what i can see is tradition.
it does but most people arent really concerned about fidelity these days. not even deejays i dont think. if they were theyd all be getting funky dubplates pressed up. but theres no point when you can just burn cds of what youve made. does anyone know btw if when producers burn their tracks for guys like marcus nasty or crazy cousins or whoever if the music is on mp3 or is it wav/flac/aiff etc?
