Yeah I was thinking of Cassy's PanoramaBar mix when I mentioned "Touch". I thought the transition worked incredibly well on that mix (which i could imagine having been quite an influence on at least some producers working in that Appleblim/2562/Peverelist zone).

tim, seeing as you gave it as an example, might interest you that 'touch' was used by Cassy in this mix http://www.discogs.com/Cassy-Panorama-Bar-01/release/772763 it was a big crossover tune, and dj abstract was/is big in a few different scenes

I love playing Funky pitched up to 140 off vinyl, sounds like Stageshow Rhythm, which is pretty much my benchmark these days. Recently I've been mixing Funky at +8 into Soca at -8, and it sounds awesome.
