Hurray Serbia! Didn't see that one coming. Last I watched Germany they were looking very nice indeed, and that's aside from the fact they were against Australia. Fingers crossed for a result from England today. Even just a watchable game will suffice; a game that ends in tears will be welcomed by me over another that ends in a headache.

After last night everyone seems to think group d is done and dusted. I would be very surprised if it is. serbia could well upset the balance and i fancy them to get a result against germany.

I'd say beating Algeria by more than one but less than America, then a subtle draw against Slovenia should ensure second spot (possibly), and an easier second round game. Byt he time it gets to the quarters England are fucked anyway, whoever they face. It's tradition.

And people should stop tarnishing Diego's reputation.

very true on the first part, and the ref had been quite a stickler all game. hey-ho.

on the second part, i was a little worried he was going to get booked for over-enthusiastic celebrating; that ref certainly knew how to locate his cards.
