Glad you like it. For more in a kind-of similar style, it's well worth checking the Ashanti Spears EP by Major Notes, which came out on the same day. Imo it's slightly the weaker release of the two, but still excellent.
.

I prefer the Major Notes EP, especially that Alchamage tune which is also coming out as 'March to the tribal' feat. Dapper. It seems like a much harder sound than his previous stuff. Smoove Kriminals own tunes are quite nice but a little too tasteful and anodyne for me. Obv. a good radio show though.

Was Seasick (DJ naughty remix) from this year? Brilliant track.

I hear what you're saying about anodyne with some of SK's tunes but the 24hr EP plus some of the similar tunes he's been playing on the show have a bit more rudeness to them I think. But yeah, Alchamage is sick for sure. The MC version is out pretty soon now isn't it?
It's interesting, when MN was interviewed on the SK show just after Ashanti Spears came out, he said that the harder, heavy-drums style is what he started out with before he moved on to the vocal tunes and remixes etc, so the EP was meant partly to remind people that he can still do that style. Here's some early MN tunes I've found based on what he was saying - and he's right you know, they're bangers:

Holy Ghost:

(so presumably the HHB tune is a remix of this?)

How Low:

(all about the way it suddenly switches up around 3.30...)

Jungle Book:

Edit: Just remembered that in the same interview he says that he's been getting a vocal of Enigma from the EP done as well. Not sure yet if that means a sung vocal or MCing, but should be interesting still.
Have a vauge feeling that the Seasick remix was from early this year, but can't seem to find much info on it.

Oh yeah and here is the (mildly corny) official video to March To The Tribal for anyone interested:

Don't know much about Dappa in general, but he fits in really well on this tune I reckon.

Drake remix was a total oversight! It was in my top twenty originally. And lr groove's 'black up' in the top fifty.

38. Naughty Raver - Tease Me (After Dark Mix) (released)
Oh yeah, this one is great actually - heard it on radio loads of times but never clocked the name until now. Are you sure it's out though Tim? Can only find clips of it so far.
15. Emvee - Windrush Riddim (unreleased)
Actually this one did come out in digi:

(Not doing these to nitpick on you obv, just to help anyone that might be trying to get a hold of the tunes).

^Benny thanks for the Johnny Pistol remix, I'm liking it. There's some weird sounds on there - in a good way. :)
There's def been a real depth of great funky tunes this year (know that might sound smug/unhelpful to someone who's not so into it, but it really is how I see it).

Yeah sorry that was a typo re Emvee - I got it off ukfunky.com too.

"Tease Me (After Dark Mix)" is also available on ukfunky.com...

Miss Fire's "It's You" and "Can't Say No" were other oversights. I think of "Falling" as 2009, and don't really know about "Take Off Your Clothes" but I'm pretty sure it's the oldest of those (also it's amazing and bizarre).

The Naughty remix of "Seasick" is 2009 also I think. Yeah it's fabulously garagey.

Luka check the "Follow Me" remix if you haven't already!!

Ahhh thanks, will pick it up.
Take Off Your Clothes is the one I always forget about, I pretty much agree with your assessment of it though. MF def top 3 selected for ukfunky vocalists I reckon.
Everyone doing these lists has given me a boot up the arse to check/double-check whether a bunch of tunes have been released yet, which is helpful obv.

Its possibly from 2009 but Greyman's 'Funk the groove' is a tune that's gradually crept into my head and taken hold after hearing it a lot on Petchy sets this year. Took me a while to ID this one (though the barking dogs sig should have made it obvious) here's a wee clip of it...

http://www.uk-funky.com/ukfunky_previews_268.htm

UK funky.com's an awful site to navigate but there's actually a goldmine of tunes on there. But whats going on at the minute, there hasn't been any new tunes put up for ages although the shop is still functional.

Does anyone know if Undisputed's War EP is available to buy on CD?

Going by their official website, it seems to be mp3 only (via Juno, Amazon and iTunes).

Benny I think of Funk The Groove of being from eary-ish this year but I may be wrong. It's a definite percy anyway, always works so well in a set. It's a shame if the site have stopped putting up new tunes, if you could put up with how non user-friendly it was they did seem to have a lot of stuff that you couldn't find anywhere else.
Speaking of Petchy-set tunes, he's a couple more favourites that I just got IDs for -
Jook 10 - Bounce:

Rudimental ft Eden - Want You Back:

Here's a link to Funky Twinz 'Smile' from their twitter, given away free:http://www.sendspace.com/file/n3x6aq

Woah, glad I decided to go ahead and grab this - Energiser, also included in the pack, is a real cracker, took me right by surprise. Melody-wise and in terms of the general mood I've not heard anything quite like it in a long while - the only comparison that came into my head was actually the Jam City refix of Endgames - Ecstasy.
Smile also sounds better to me listening right through on its own rather than hearing it mixed in a set, not sure why, I guess it's because you get the build-up as well as the high-points.

Also yeah, it turns out I do know Babyface Jay - Brazilia. Great tune, def been about for a while, it seems to be one of those ones that has weirdly come and gone at intervals on radio sets - I Feel by El-B was a bit like that before it finally came out. I'm not holding my breath for this one getting a release, but would be nice if it did.

Aye energiser is possibly even better than Smile listening back to it now. It sounds a bit like a really cool rnb instrumental. I could imagine Amerie or someone singing on top of this one.

what we thinking of these two most recent funkstepz releases? (malibu & for you). listening to previews they both sound like quite nice mellow vocal funky, presumably antithesis to what the hyperdub release will be like. gonna buy one tomorrow, deliberating between the two at the mo. what were the dissensians thorts? standout tracks? worth my $$?

also any link to hear the hyperdub material? Know fuller is signed to hyperdub, havent heard what the other tunes will be.
