Beast of Burden
Dave Stelfox is into Phil Collins. He used to say "don't knock my Phil" to us on the bus.

thats true stelfox was always banging on about phil. neither wookie nor mj cole hav any right to a vote in this poll and that despite the fact that i acknowledge the genius of both and worship at their altars. its just they are not upper echlon in this. the levels aree too high.

in a sense you could say this is th only genre i have any right to an opinion about. i listened to the pirates all day very day. its the first music i really went raving too. its still my best clubbing memories going out in stratford alot, rex sometimes but more club space which was sort of a centre of that music so you can disagree but definitely ive got a right to tell you what i think.

I think I can safely say the same thing, this was the first music I went raving to, legends, rex, shannons wherever I could seek it out really, wookie went on to influence a whole genre with one track, to completely disregard him is stupid. Fair enough MJ Cole wasn't as prolific, but they definitely deserve their names in that list, and are, imo, of this 'upper echlon' you speak of.

It's your opinion aswell obviously, this is just mine.

i said he was a genius and i worship at the altar of his music how much more fucking servile can i get? realistically. thy need to be on the list and get no votes!!

this is why i told myself i wouldnt post in this thread, to get into a pointless discussion about which producer is better, when with the bulk of this music i can't decide, it works much better off as a whole.

we should just talk about what clubs you enjoyed the most listening to garage in, i used to like purple e3, but i dont think it was called that when i first went there

edit* i get you now luca, really didnt want to be dragged into an argument about one of my favourite genres, its all opinion

wasnt that lways in town? i went to gass club once but on the whole i never went into town. i didnt lik the atmosphere. i went to more local things and i went to crisp biscuits and things like that. youngere happier crowd and i was nevr caught up in beef so i didnt care if the ct lot were beefing with stratford or any bollocks like that.

yea, I never made it to any of the ones worth talking about, there was one in sensations (was that what it was called?) in Romford, weekly at one point. I went to them in Time & Envy, but that was when it had all sort of passed.

By the way, EZ is the greatest, bar none, purely for this video..

I went to the Time & Envy bar in San Antonio, Ibiza 2 years ago, we were the only people in there (like literally, 8 of us) before we went to see dennis ferrer, was a laugh. Some guy 'Seany B' I think, was playing, sick DJ. They also done a Twice as Nice in Eden, that was dead too. Obviously not the island for it.

i dont think they used to play garage in romford much in those days. i used to sometimes go there and try and chase girls. but i remember it all being chart hits. this was up until 99. i left the country in 99 and didnt com back till grime was kicking of in 01.

darn EZ with his hard to find tunes, just remembered about this one.

Thought it never came out, but, it didnt and i CANNOT afford the £62 someone is asking for it
