I finished it. It was far too long for what it was.I couldn't finish Inifinite Jest like everyone else. I liked his short stories a lot though, Good Old Neon especially and the one about the cruise.

no, there's at least 2 more. they're not class traitors like you though. they're work in iron foundries and are union organisers.
I don't think the US has the same deeply weird relationship with class that we have. Pretty much everyone literate is slightly ashamed.my dad grew up dirt poor on a farm, worked his whole life as a truck driver, my mom worked in a textile factory. I mucked it all up, went to college and pursued a white collar career but at least I had working-class roots!
