used to be called incellectuals_england, now it's infinite.sewer.state.eternal which obviously is the N-th iteration of the account, after several being blocked (such is the thing with most pages posting interesting content nowadays, it's like zuckerberg would really love to have his content completely homogenised and not evolving much, he's probably the kind of person who still makes demotivational posters).
some kids from south london run it as far as I'm aware, lots of chat I really have to try hard to understand at times, since I haven't lived here for that long or sometimes don't know the context, but that makes it even more interesting for me. feels a bit like an anthropological take on the SE youths.

also hilarious format of those motivational images (at least that's what it used to be) with text imitating anonymous confessions from Whisper, which got popular among uk meme pages in general I think.

also their admins are doing a night at catford bridge tavern tomorrow, I went to the previous one and I have to say it was one of the most relaxed, honest and decent gigs I have been to in a while. also rig supplied by MFC sound system which is a plus.

I think that good party reports are basically worldbuilding, where you selectively curate reality & write the narrative of the scene, make it a "thing," pull together a constellation of signifiers (proper & improper nouns). If a scene flourishes and no one's there to write about it, did it ever really exist?

i've been in two places where i thought there was every ingredient for a scene that you could mythologise easy peasy, specifically east oxford years ago (while we were gentrifying it) and kabul fewer years ago, its just no-one ever produced anything that would be the hook. no bands or writers or whatever. not even any memes.

in a way that would be more natural than a mythology based on forced memes?
seems like the latter is possible in almost any sort of circumstances, as long as you have enough clout for people to give you a benefit of a doubt.
That doubt being inversely proportionate to the quality of the "documentation" (or content) your imagined "world" provides.

Someone should do the maths on how much you have to try to with what you feed your audience vs how big is your audience.

Good example is youtube, my ex used to hang out with this one guy who I think used to live off of it, generally having one of the top followings in the country, what he's told me is apparently at some point if you want a sustainable business model for that platform there is no other way, you need to start making content for 8-14 year olds.
Making anything more profound will either go unnoticed or can even be damaging.
Not that far from there to depression honestly.

That would explain the whole thumbnail best practices of hyperexpressive faces looking surprised, somehow perceptually registering to the viewer in a more primal way than words/titles/ideas would.

For this reason I do think brooklyn should be nuked out of existence. As much as they are antiidpol, they should at least work on building up their awesome qualities in accordance with kant's critique of pure judgment. 'tis a pity.

This is actually one of the good things about real mafia mafias, when the old guard has been supplanted by someone new you know for sure cos they've been gunned down in a hail of lead along with their whole family (except possibly one four year old boy who sneaks away, goes to another country and builds up his own mob, finally returning forty years later to slide a stiletto delicately into the new Capo's heart as he whispers "theees ees for Don Baritone") instead of hanging around forever going "Theses hipsters aint hip and this shit is nowhere near as cool as the Mudd Club"
