it's alright Linebaugh. I was so intent on being rude that I missed IdleRich's joke and played myself. off the bench and immediately looking for that first big tackle. flying in full blooded, two footed, studs showing - straight past my man and into the advertising hoardings. not a great start, is it.

anyway look i think you lads should do something about your door policy, it's no good having luka get here first telling all the new fish they have to establish dominance. it's asking for trouble.

Pronto what would you say your specialist subject is? Early 90s jungle? Modernist literature? Communist agitprop? Lithuanian Gabba? Nunsploitation cinema? The Avengers? Making friends with crows?

For the Americans - that's a football metaphor he's doing there.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Toyed with the idea of registering for a while now, particularly as I've been wasting more and more time here since lockdown started.

Finally goaded into taking the plunge by a John Eden post, where he said that the only thing sadder than spending your life posting on an internet forum is watching other people do that and not joining in.

made me ponder how many hours exactly i'd spent essentially eavesdropping on the people here, and then I felt thoroughly ashamed of myself and a little bit sick. it seemed as though the only healthy course of action would either be to ban myself from lurking here or to come in and say hello. so, hello!
Ha! That was well meant - welcome Pronto, it's appreciated. :)

I wouldn't worry about that, it wasn't as if it was a good joke... let's be honest, it barely qualified as a joke at all.

not sure how, but I missed this thread
hello everyone, I'm a computer music enthusiast reporting in from London E2,
I am here because xen namedropped this forum right after the name mark fissha on mat dryhurst's podcast and lured me into buying his book too,
wanted to find him here so I could ask for explaination of some of the lectures from the book, in case I don't get some of it

btw i would've gotten on some forum earlier on as I really missed this kind of places for a long time now, but it turned out the only active thread on dubstepforum nowadays is drill/bashment tunes so I decided to keep on lurking there

a pity the whole title doesn't show: Transient Waves - Born With A Body And Fucked In The Head

Hi there. Just introducing myself. I discovered the forum through the Mark Fisher- Simon Reynolds connection. I am from Spain, and in the past few years there was kind of a boom of translations of those material (K-Punk included) and in the searching process of information I fell into the rabbit hole, all the way down here.
