literally not a single bit of my shirt was dry after an hour and a half of dancing in there, it was horrible actually, i thought i was pregnant or something.
really tho - nothing is difft apart from more officious security and (this is a big AND) you have to QUEUE to get out for a cigarette. so after presumably flouting countless health and safety laws with the temperature in there, they wouldn't even let non-smokers go out for five minutes breather without queuing for 20 mins first. i left rather than be forced to queue to get out for some fresh air, it's fucking stupid and annoying, frankly.
i assume they'll put in some a/c or a fan to deal with the temp, but the cigarette queue..? hmm
Just been doing a bit of searching to see if I can find any update on today's licencing review mentioned above. Been unable to find anything other than this recent news report which, if true, isn't exactly encouraging.
My favourite bit is this:

Changes appear to be that you now have to be a member and some other fairly strict entry conditions as detailed below:
Last entry 2am.
No hoods, hats or tracksuit bottoms.
Full body search is a condition of entry. No search = no entry.
Walk through metal detector is a condition of entry.
Ladies bag search is a condition of entry. Gents pad down is a condition of entry.
Full cooperation with South Yorkshire Police.

the queuing system is actually a joke.. so many searches, can't drink in the line, have to queue to leave for a rollie, etc etc.
really doesn't feel like a fun night out.
and the system seems much quieter aswell.

as pedantic as it sounds, part of me thinks that people talking about shit like this on forums is like shooting yourself in the foot. i've not really read many FWD related threads, but i've read a few theo p ones and quite a few of them contain references to what went on down there. can't help but wonder if those very posts are part of the reason this shit has happened. i mean, is it likely that anyone who goes to pp would want to inform the police that some heinous cannabis toking was going on at the club? probably not. so why would the police single pp out then? as has been said before, pretty much every club in london will have some trace of something in the bogs... you have to wonder really. :slanted:
Tried to reach FWD this Thurs because Chef/Braiden/Marcus Nasty/Pangaea lineup just sounded too good to miss...
Both myself and my two female friends were pretty much subjected to everything short of a strip search, they literally went through EVERYTHING I fucking had, searching between pages of books I had in case there were any drugs in there, etc. etc., then my friend got moved on because she was just surprised the ropes around the smoking area didn't have chains in them and the management were being well arsey... long story short it's not about clubs making their clientele feel genuinely unwelcome in their club, I get that PP is going through some issues but it actually felt like they'd rather I didn't waste their time trying to get in. On top of all this shit that's being mentioned about the smoking situation I really think FWD is due for a move... the girl doing tickets tried to tell me that "PP has NEVER done £5 early entry tickets"... sorry love been reaching for years and I always make it in before the price rise because I'm a skint motherfucker. 'llowin FWD for now until shit gets sorted, I know they probably don't care because bare randoms hit it every week but seriously it felt like I was about to try and board a plane with the assumption I was carrying explosives. No no no PP. Sort it out.
