This sort of thing often seems to happen when someone with a profile dies. It's all very tedious. A bunch of people jostling for clout on Twitter.

I agree with the people saying Delon was a dickhead, but I just don't care to hear it from a lot of them. I read some of the Reddit threads earlier and one person had copied and pasted their negative comment of several paragraphs into at least two of them... I think these people genuinely feel they're doing some sort public service with their "Uh, actually... " routine whenever someone famous dies. They clearly get some form of satisfaction from it.

eh idk about that, i think its more that people have just gotten so wrapped up in these online back and forths, its become like a dopamine hit for them. maybe theres an inherent rightouessness they get, but mostly i think people have just gotten addicted to the discourse

also because on reddit, i feel like its even more anonymous than somewhere like here or another site because of how miniscule the profiles are, people feel they can, apologies for the corny phrasing but, work in the shadows.

Coppola sticking a bunch of the negative reviews of The Godfather, Apocalypse Now and Dracula at the start of the trailer is true megalomania. The film looks bonkers too.
