are you also on the spectrum chava?

Lot's of people act awkward in social situations. Elon Musk is obviously one of those people. Now, we can pathologize and distance ourselves from it, but I don't see that as an especially virtuous way of reacting on these things for the supposedly compassionate and open-minded people (as the Dissensus crowd?)

No, but I think my dad is. He worked as a doctor, and you'll be surprised how many doctor's are on the spectrum or even slightly sociopathic
i know that in germany and austria doctors are terribly authoritarian, they don't talk with you only command you and they don't want to get any feedback really. it's one of those jobs that people don't really choose for idealistic reasons but because it gives a certain status or because they have been peer-pressured to study medicine by their family. but i think it might also be a cultural thing, when i look for doctors appointments i always look for the ones that have foreign names. they treat their patiens very different, they are much more communicative, more humane, more understanding.

i think it's fine to mock nazi sociopaths.

I'm reminded of this quote from a former Oracle employee about the evil tech boss multibillionaire lizard Larry Ellison:

Do not fall into the trap of anthropomorphizing Larry Ellison. You need to think of Larry Ellison the way you think of a lawnmower. You don’t anthropomorphize your lawnmower, the lawnmower just mows the lawn - you stick your hand in there and it’ll chop it off, the end. You don’t think "oh, the lawnmower hates me" – lawnmower doesn’t give a shit about you, lawnmower can’t hate you. Don’t anthropomorphize the lawnmower.
— Bryan Cantrill

you could easily replace "Larry Ellison" with "Elon Musk" and the quote still makes sense

Funny I'm just watching this Slow Horses thing and this right-wing MP is saying how he can easily brush off a photo of him at a rally by saying it's photoshopped or...

I agree about the German, very hierarchical system, it is not like that here in Denmark, quite the opposite as everyone who decides on a ward (the head nurse of course). Disgree completely about the motivations of doctors. I can safely say if you encounter an doctor with a pakistani name you can almost 100% sure they chose the profession for status reason, by the way. Nothing beats being a doctor if you are from Pakistan.

You can btw choose the profession for quite idealistic reasons, and be quite on the spectrum or even slightly psychotic anyways (it depends a bit how you define it).
