One of our crew brought a bunch of Naked Noodles to work last night as it was her round and she’s too fuckin lazy to cook unless the GBBO is on. Ok, she did a very nice batch of eclairs during lockdown tbf
Added water (stating the obvious) but they looked rank from the get go, tasted of ‘texture‘ so needed a slosh of low sodium soya sauce to add a beef/salt lick and even then what’s the point? Korean Beef? More as if Walker’s put a bunch of carbs through a disease inducing machine and experimented before creating a sub-brand
Avoid
Few alternative flavours. By flavours, the manufacture really means colour-coded themes - Korean this, Japanese that etc. They all looked the same (down Tea, down) served up in their pots as kettles got busy - browny green, greeny brown, yellowy brown, tiny specs of possible organic matter eg one pea, a 2mm wisp of pepper, a suggestion of spice, a green speck of maybe coriander, a shred of what might have been a seed casing

I had some of the buldak "3xspicy" noodles the other day and had to throw them away after two mouthfuls. I have a fairly high tolerancw for spicy food but these were literally inedible.
About to try these potato noodles which have just appeared in the cornershop, apparently they have a "firm and bouncy texture" acxording to the little sachet inside. "52% potato starch in noodle".

The potato ones were really nice - just the right level of spiciness, and they really were slightly chewier than your average noodle in a pleasant way. Would buy them again.
Has anyone tried the spicy 'carbonara' buldaks? I'm a bit wary of buldak now after that bad experience the other day, and the whole concept of spicy carbonara korean noodles is fucking weird, but I'm also quite intrigued.
