Still not that keen on it. The tune above's the only one I've ever really been into and that's still the case after another listen. It's not bad, but it's definitely one of their weaker albums. These two did catch my ear this time around...

Got Move of Ten on now, the accompanying EP. Never actually heard this one so should be interesting. Very straight so far, just sounds like techno with Ae sounds on top.

I wonder how annoyed autechre are by radiohead adopting an autechre-y/aphex-y sound on kid a, cos now when i hear a lot of autechre i immediately think of thom yorkes face and get the inverted equivalent of an erection

I didn't realise they had a bunch of stuff tucked away on compilations and music mag CDs. Some of it's best left there, but some of it's wicked.

I know loads of the remixes, but I'd only heard some of the individual tunes they had dotted around. For whatever reason I hadn't thought to properly look how many there were. I knew the Japanese bonus tracks and 'Carni' off one of the Warp comps. and the two charity tunes from fairly recently, but I hadn't heard 'Puch' and a load of others from the 90s music mags and compilations.

Can you guys talk about the Japanese bonus track for Untilted, "Zurich 2001"? It seems many people don't like that one. Why did you decide to add this very short, improvised (?) live track as a Japanese bonus track? I mean a lot of people didn't like the track. Now's a good time to defend yourself!

Rob: It was a good display of how well it can kick off in Europe at an electronic gig. The situation was full on intense, cos they were really pushing us, and we fully pushed back.

I was half-heartedly flicking through the records in Oxford's Truck store on Tues when I came across a sad, lonely Autechre album. This thread flashed into.my mind and I quickly moved on before my virility could be damaged... instead I bought a much tougher, livelier and more fun recording by Milky Wimpshake which also was a lot cooler and more credible too.
