that was unbeleiveably bad that trip. the only real bad one i've ever had. it was like having my mind wrenched apart but it wasn't just psycholigcally distressing it was physically painful
This was something I felt too. My entire body ached. Felt like I'd been beaten with a stick all over.

So I can decide whether to keep a benzo on me for emergency comedowns, Are you glad it happened, or would you rather have had an exit route?

It's really the only way we can be honest with ourselves, innit

Do you still believe there's no inner self possible?
Ballard said the opposite. That the inner world was the only thing that was real and that that was the direction in which to head,

In the past we have always assumed that the external world around us has represented reality, however confusing or uncertain, and that the inner world of our minds, its dreams, hopes, ambitions, represented the realm of fantasy and the imagination. These roles, it seems to me, have been reversed. The most prudent and effective method of dealing with the world around us is to assume that it is a complete fiction — conversely, the one small node of reality left to us is inside our own heads. Freud’s classic distinction between the latent and manifest content of the dream, between the apparent and the real, now needs to be applied to the external world of so-called reality.

Sent him an email later asking if there was anything else to do and he said 'If you dont want to take it we can just do nothing and see if it goes away on its own'

"I, The Archivist, know not to forget the long shadows cast by the searing light of the past. My recklessness as a younger man, shall too cast darkness over my legacy. Now boy go, the hadron gunner ship, the galaxy needs you. In time I shall join you, but for now, I must erase the mushroom sick from my mother's carpet"
