Sometimes you're totally in the moment just surfing the wave like Corpsey this morning where he could do no wrong
There’s a theory that the "real world" in The Matrix, the one where Neo can manipulate the sentinels, is actually just another layer designed for those who rejected the first. That's increasingly how I view anything supposedly radical, theory etc. Another layer of the same thing for the people who think they've got it figured out. It doesn't matter to Amazon whether you're buying Marvel or Baudrillard, just that you're buying.
But a tribal thing can collapse so easily. If you got kidnapped by the village next door you would be fighting for them soon. If you have reasons for your position it's not so instantly easily defended but I think it will last longer. Of course, maybe you change your reasons after thinking about them but that seems fair enough.Seems so unthinkable and unnatural to me, like denouncing your own mother. Politics is such a tribal thing to me I can't conceive of switching sides. I've got no interest in any arguments or anything. To me, it's just the team you play for and that's that.

Appreciating all manifestations of Left-wing politics/activism/radicalism as functioning in this manner within Western democracies was a key milestone of my journey across to the Right.
Before I incur the wrath of certain sections of the forum, by ‘Right’ I mean One-nation conservatism as it is understood in the British tradition, and not either the red-pilled alt-right bollocks, or libertarianism (which I consider equally as ridiculous an ideology as communism).
I was going to ask that too. My assumption was Rudewhy would either say they do, but we're talking about the left then explain how it also applies to the right or they don't because they don't pretend there's an outside to escape to.Why doesn't the right function like this also though?
