When I was at uni my flatmate had this mini snooker table in his bedroom, predictably we used to play about ten hours a day and for a bit I got to a level where I could thrash the hell out of anyone in a pub at pool - annoyingly my flatmate was significantly better, I seem to remember he got a break in the 90s which is pretty fucking good with ten reds (max 107 is it?).... whatever, one of the CDs we used to play had the song Suds and Soda by Deus on it. One thing that stuck in my head and made me laugh was him telling me that his mum heard that song and said "I know every generation has new sounds and everything - but that is not music!". Anyhow, I'd not thought of that song for decades I guess until it came on an advert yesterday, turns out Deus are playing in Lisbon - Liza and I both started singing along enthusiastically, seems we both loved the song almost thirty years ago... wonder what the gig would be like...

Takes me a while to process tunes before I can write anything, however small about them, but you won't be disappointed if you click the above, I'm sure. I think it's some kind of Dub Minimal Wave, but to use the 'proto' word, has the earliest use of those reversed 'Dubwise' pianos or strings or whatever they are I've heard.

In the meantime, this is banging too. Been playing it all day. Paris Grey vocals but chopped up and swingy beats.

My eyes lit up when I saw the names on the cover of this and it didn't disappoint when I clicked it.

always seen city girls as a precursor, or at least part of, the cultural thread that led to megan thee stallion and that affective package. which is quite a powerful pop-cultural force at the moment. a combination of the porn influence and a certain strand of popular feminism, as well as that CGI thing that's going on with how people look.

Do you find any of these women attractive

I do not, I find that very interesting culturally. Nothing to do with race it has to do with cultural gaze.
How about Radiah? Going by her single and album sleeves she has a strange allergy to clothes...
