I dunno, seems like a weird comment for what is basically just shits and giggles: "Cool. But alarm bells go off whenever I see AI art in a music video.
🤔
"
I mean, it literally only took me like 5 minutes to mash the tracks... cue points, volume, eq and beatmixed so am I supposed to commission someone for an image?

^the way I wrote that was kind of weird and vague
it was a comment, from from someone on youtube, on the ai image I used (seems to be implying that I might have also used ai to mash the tracks, which I didn't, if that wasn't clear either), not something said by the lovely @william_kent - we're all good, mate!

thanks for the clarification - I don't care about anyone using AI generated images, in fact I started a thread about them before they became all the rage

my current avatar is actually the product of stable diffusion so I'd never criticise anyone for using AI images, with exceptions of course

You might usually be posting while drinking @william_kent but I just sound drunk
😆

also really like the added subtitles to the "drunk moving addendum" short
sub = saab
unintentional = "an intentional"
they're just rubbing it in my face 😆

funny about how a single word can spark off a whole trail of memories

Saab was a make of car - I was friends with some twins whose dad owned a Saab

and it was always parked in the driveway of another schoolfriend whose mother was having an affair with the father of the twins, everyone knew but we never talked about it, like it was an open secret - we got up to all sorts of mischief at that house, one of my other schoolfriends was the grandson of a man famous for his bomb making skills and the explosive gene had passed down, we made all sorts of pipe bombs, and it was in this house ( it was large so we could get away with all sorts ) that we first smoked hash, huffed butane, took acid, etc.,

here it is (totally different style though) mr. @william_kent

edited: lol would help if i put in the link... not trying to make some kind of avant-garde john cage statement

I'll have a word with @catalog about moving your slot to 'peak hour'

if I'm paying half then I'm doing the 10 - 12 warmup

edit: although this would have been 11 pm at any Hulme, Manchester, UK venue / flat in the early 90s. "harder! faster!" , a cocktail of bathtub speed smelling of cat piss and street drinks ( special brew, tenants super, night train ) and white doves and sputnik launched us into a special head space

I have an assignation in Munich soon, but if I'm not hungover I'll pop into a certain record shop and see if anyone is available - dub techno, druggy house, UK techno, junglist dude, maybe DM the ketamine chugger, maybe email the zombie rave dudes now that my curse on the rival promoter worked wonders ( long story ), see if the street soul guy is available for warmup or afters, check with the free party crew for urban, dubstep, dark garage, maybe email my mate in Brum for his goblin plus the best bits from UK garage selection...

this would be for the teaser night before the full on debauch, we should have lined up the best in MD by then

I'm down for whatever really.
I wouldn't want to bogart idlerich's timeslot
as I was saying to thirdform and dilbert, I used to play all sorts of different stuff depending on who I was supporting from "beatless" and/or "experimental" stuff in virtually every style to rhythmic noise, breakcore, idm, dubstep, etc. etc. etc.

I knew someone whose dad worked as an insurance assessor but he could never drive his orange SAAB to Scotland because it would have been destroyed, he had to hire a beige nondescript vehicle instead
