this one is hitting right over the last few days. it's the end of august and the heat is dying off, you can see the nights starting to draw in already. never exactly clear why certain sounds resonate and others don't. there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. there is that deleuzian thing of the assemblage going on, a particular tune added to everything else going on in the day to day doing some kind of unexpected alchemy.

the version i'm after doesn't seem to be on youtube properly so this one uploaded by some kind of madman is as good as it's going to get

Years ago, I used to have Sid Vicious' Sid Sings LP. It wasn't very good, but was made even worse by some wanker in the New York audience yelling along and shouting EHHHHHH-EHHHH-EHHHH!!! over the music.

Turns out the cunt went to Suicide gigs too! I'm sure this is the same irritating twat...CBGB/Max's should have banned him on sight. What a shame, because these versions of Rocket USA and Frankie might be the best I've heard. OK, it's a 23(!) min set, not a tune...I was thinking of actually getting this 6CD box...thinking of...but matey in the audience is audible on ANOTHER of the CBGB sets, so I'll give it a skip...

BONUS COTD: Our Price meets Suicide uptown.

Mark Hawkins played this Vogel collaboration track out at a BWPT/Ugly Funk outdoor do around the millennium, alway stuck, maybe helps if your first exposure to a composition is through a roided up system

dunno if it was the mass of older mates or the tale end of certain compounds (no ketamine) but talk about a wobblefest through a wall of speakers (thank you JE5, Grant, Ibi Alfa/Brighton crew, Jerome H, Subhead et al)

Remember seeing them live at The End a lifetime ago. They did that one of course.
