I was jealous when the colonel went to visit the kids in my older brother's grade, but not us first graders, because he got sick and died within a year or two after that so he no longer made the rounds...
but then I found out he wasn't even a real born-and-bred Kentuckian, and that the first placed he franchised his recipe was to a place in Utah!

fun fact: KFC is big in Japan, and is a Christmas tradition, but like most things there, the quality is better than here, where it became worse over the decades.
