It's weird, I personally know more people who have had it in the past two months than any time before, the latest variant(s) seem to be more contagious and pushing up the numbers. most people have gotten through it in 5-10 days (often in bed unable to function for at least a few), one has persistent shortness of breath three weeks later. a few of them already had it from an earlier variant.
even weirder, two people who have gotten through it the easiest: a 96-year old aunt who had very mild symptoms, and my immunocompromised 68-year old sister, who had a few days of coughing and achy joints.
