Plenty about the standard of gender-affirming care (informed consent, overseen by a team of medical professionals, no pressure to continue or to stop), the enormous mental health benefits and HRT's association with decline in depression and suicidal ideation, the immediate chilling of effect of DeSantis's for trans healthcare (but not, nb, for cisgender people getting the same treatments for other reasons).

Also wanted note that DeSantis defended the request by essentially saying that being trans is a mental illness and that the answer is counseling, not to "hack off their body parts". Which for anyone who's followed this thread, is almost word for word what Benny said to begin with.

So congratulations on being in lockstep with Ron DeSantis. Not somewhere I'd ever want to be, but that's me. The right-wing-TERF (btw if someone can come up with a different term to encapsulate that worldview, I'd be fine using that instead, but I can't imagine what it would be) ideological alliance against trans people is a very real thing.
