I watched most of the first series and it was great.

I saw Conclave. I liked quite a hefty chunk of it but it slowly (or was it slowly?) revealed itself to be so contrived I went right off it.

all the plot twists were a bit absurd no? when that one guy went "it's all the muslims fault!" i thought what the hell is going on now? i think it could've been a better film if it would've stayed a bit more mysterious.

yeah the bit where I lost FAITH in it was that scene, cos then it became glaringly obvious that this Kabul cardinal had appeared by surprise to fulfil the role of being the voice of liberal reason... And then the final twist of him having ovaries etc. it totally ruined the effect of being granted an inside view of this secretive process... Although admittedly there had been a fair share of unbelievable events up to that point. It felt pandering.

One thing I did enjoy in Conclave — although it caused me pain — is how organised everyone was. They had desks with just one document on them. Only one book on the bedside table.

I can't do this at all I've got shit absolutely everywhere

I saw Meet The Millers or We're The Millers and that was kind of gash too obviously, but it is still amazing to watch these films from ten years ago and notice how different films are now, it's all moved along at a crazy pace, it's not retromanic it's new, the thing is evolving with the times like it always has

I saw My Old Arse, that was pretty bad but the central idea (of meeting yourself from the future) has a lot of juice you kind of can make a bad film about it and it's still interesting
