I discovered this over 4 years too late:

not entirely accurate though - more like I saw the album name and thought it was silly so I just wandered back to it years later - I try not to let that happen where I'm turned off by something like a name or artwork because that's kind of dumb, I figure
reminds me a friend that wouldn't check out the first fennesz album because it had skilift or something similar on the front - I'm like, what? If it's some kind of german leftfield/experiemental thing you're not going to take it seriously unless it has a picture of some 70s longhair, or some loopy artwork that looks like it holds some kind of occult wisdom - or some combination of both of those?

LL Cool J album is good, some interesting samples like this one that samples Gary Numan

How old is LL CJ though, being this horny? He's got to be experimenting with viagara

last time I paid attention to LL he was playing a Christian chef who was fighting a rogue shark

and there was time he was alongside a kangaroo in some film ( tank gir?l ) ( or was he the kangaroo? )

did he reinvent himself?

I remember the time I bought the LL Cool J album after 'radio' and I rushed to my dealer's squat and I was all like "I have the new LL Cool J`" album and we put on and it rocked but then half way through side 2 "I Need Love" came on through the amstrad and then he charged me full price for an eighth of waxy sputnik

He's still really good at rapping

A lot of the old rappers are good at rapping, better at it than any new rappers, although obviously they aren't making music anywhere near to their peak stuff

But this album is worth listening to cos he's good rapping and q+tip is good producing
