it depends if you think you can push home your advantage and permanantly weaken and corral russia.

I was reading back through one of the Russia threads last night, and Vimothy and Droid were the ones talking the most sense IMO.

Hitchens points out that both Henry Kissinger and Noam Chomsky both warned against provoking Russia with NATO expansion, which is interesting, and made me think of vimothy and Druoid more or less agreeing, lol

Geopolitics was more 20th century alignment pendulum of US - Britain - France - Germany - north route = Poland/southern route = Turkey - Russia, until 89 and the rise of China plus Japan‘s rough 90’s

Geopolitics is also Bibi yammering on about the Curse and the Cure. Geopolitics surely has to include Ukrainian wealth potential and who gets what re spoils. Geopolitics is cobalt sourcing and cobalt can never be strictly ideological as a material, only its applications

Proximity and resources build both success and failure across our big ball, how can they not, Age of Empires lan games taught me this. Imagine ‘playing’ Taiwan today ..

NOT A STONED THOUGHT

CIA, no-one ever really meant death to America!

“Why does a band named Death to America reach a convergence point here?”

- “Death to America!? Thee Death to America!? Chance innit, probably a London thing .. humour is part of the cockney character”

”Their respective sources are Eastern European and The People’s Republic of Lancashire - we repeat, why here?”

- “I dunno youth, maybe the London thing

geography was to know its foreign policy.

So I guess the first salient geopolitical feature is area.
so for instance australia is a large circle but it's carrying capacity is small and that coupled with its geographical isolation means its ability to project power is also small. england is a small circle but for a time it's ability to project power was enormous
