You're dredging up old shit (stuff thats already been done to death over the last few years) for absolutely no good reason at all about, like it or not, the main contributor to the forum over the years and who has just recently left, much to the detriment of the forum imo. There's no need for it.

None of this is new and you are actually both right.
Luka could be a complete pain in the arse but also he did keep this place going, for better or worse, with his provocations.
For me I am still attracted to forums as opposed to social media because you can get more community in this sort of environment and have discussions that maybe get deeper than our social media corps want.
You can also invest too much in these places and it makes sense on reflection that Luka basically burnt himself out. I was glad to hear he was doing well without us because I love the guy. But I also love several other people who no longer post here - and that is partly because of him and partly because this place doesn't offer the same excitement that it used to. (Which is partly because of an exodus to other platforms and partly because the default Dissensus poster is now older?)

If it wasnt for Luka this place would have died years ago lets be real.
Its alright saying Luka was a pain in the arse sometimes, but Polystyle's post was just a totally unsolicited, one sided character attack on someone (not just 'someone', but a much loved poster) who isn't here to defend themselves. I mean putting 'poet' in scare quotes like that for example - totally uncalled for

Afaik he didnt seem to leave on particularly bad terms with anyone, which makes it even more uncalled for. He probably just got bored and decided to spend his time elsewhere. It's a lot more boring without him, lets face it.
Actually... if it was not for a certain snide , unneeded aside in one of the lead topics today ( Gut ), the topic of abuse by mod would have remained only noted, prodded a bit here and there.
Btw for those who ' don't want to get into it ' , do remember i did in fact work w the guy to produce multi chapter audio work based on his more fantasy writing
