They run the gaff now, they’re not giving up their territory when lockdown is over. I’ve seen them running along the beach which I’ve never seen before. I’m used to their post 10pm ambles but now it’s anytime after about 4 - cheeky fuckers.

There is some kind of animal rights group in Portugal which is called the IRA - unfortunate coincidence of initials you would think.... except their publicity photos normally featuring black clad balaclava wearing thugs suggest otherwise. Today sitting outside a restaurant I notice one of the vehicles they presumably use for drive-by shootings or when they need to get the gang together to administer a punishment beating or kneecapping.

some sort of new fitness method popping up. it's called ems-training and they promise you a complete workout reduced into twenty minutes. you have to wear a specific kind of suit that gives you electroshocks during the workout. they do their workouts in the storefront so everybody can see them.

i don't know but i can't believe it works. anyway it made me think how everything is about reducing time lately, the same way these new supermarket delivery services popped up, offering to deliver products within ten minutes. these ems-training stores have big advertisements on the window saying "fitness for people who don't have time" and i do believe that people spend too much time working their 9 to 5 jobs but what's the point of saving yourself a few minutes on fitness, and a few minutes on grocery shopping, when the time you win with that are spent on social media?

there's a hollow feeling the internet is good at leaving you with. it's not exclusive to the internet, it's really just the feeling of being emotionally manipulated and then abandoned. a program like 'friends' generates the same effect. and contemporary pop does that a lot.

This lorry amused me today...
I wonder about things like that, my friend used to work for a carpet fitting company in East London and the guy had named it after his favourite type of weed - after a few years when it had been around for a while and become more established, and I suppose he himself had grown up, he found it rather embarrassing and he changed it so the company was mainly known by its initials.
I'd like to think that the international logistics company or whatever it is photo'd above had a similar story but most likely not.
