Suits: so many inconsequential choices. What to go for?
And on a practical, where to get an adequate one for not too much money on a UK high street (or anywhere random in london).

i am such a skinny white boy that i went into marks and spencers to buy a pair of smart trousers and they didnt go down to my waist size. outraged.
Yeah, they do look pretty adequate. M&S in sensibly priced functionally 'classic' clothing shocker!M&S Autograph range is alright.

The whole rigmarole does seem to have an impressive array of inconsequential decisions though - do I want single or double breasted? Plain or striped or pin striped? One, two or three buttons, and how high should the buttons be? Peaked or notched lapels? One, two or no vents at the back? What shade of black to go for? Which shirt? Which tie? All, essentially, to produce the response "yes, this is indeed a man in a suit."
If left to my own devices I will give up and go and buy records instead.
Yeah, and having said all that I spent approx 4 hours in M&S Marble Arch on wednesday trying to find a suit I liked. And I still don't have a shirt that really works with it.Yeah I really can't be arsed with it all, but it does feel nice to put on a good suit I think.
