Would have thought it would be in excess of 1,000 which is what I think they normally do.

I think I read in the recent mala interview with FACT that they were only pressing 1,000?
Surely a release like this though will have the ability to sell twice that amount.

dont think it gave any numbers in regards to the pressing.

i cant imagine there only being 1000 pressed. they pressed that many of the grace jones single sided thing.

i know dmz are all about not spreading themselves too thin, but surely they would be pressing up several thousand of these. the limited might just be a single run, maybe?

Yeah, I could well have got my wires crossed with the Grace Jones rmx.
This has got to be the most hyped DMZ release ever...

I saw an HMV advert today recommending the new Fly Lo album. According to NME he's doing for dubstep what Radiohead did for rock music

Wow, apparently dubstep is doing just fine and Borgore and Blackdown are still in one big happy family.

You heard it here first!

I don't really know who this Joe Muggs fellow is, but he has a good point - the endless sub genres of drum and bass for example are a bit of a chore.
It's been explored at length elsewhere so I won't repeat anything, but the more a genre diversifies and different regions, crews and labels proliferate there is natural tendency for similar sounds to solidify.

Nobody's suggesting dropping <whateverboregorenamedoneofhisfacemeltertracks> right after you've played Lata however. And indeed I don't necessarily think that dubstep's doing "fine" either, but 2010 is good thus far and there's still plenty of goodness to go around.

well hes just compiled that dubstep comp for MOS according to that piece so its not surprising hes not going to take a more critical line. not saying he doesnt believe it, but it wouldnt really be a good idea to write something like 'how dubstep could be better in 2010'.
