Loefah's selection last night was different, mix of deep halfstep and jukey dancefloor gear.

He played some wonderful strings thing, anyone else heard it or know what Im on about?

I think all the older MoS comps were mixed on pro tools after a while.
Really surprised it took them this long.

Kinda surprised dmz are on it aswell nothing from tempa/ Ammunition

aren't most mix cd's done this way today? Ableton or pro tools? If if they pretend they arent? But surely the "mixed and compiled by...." sells some copies if its a big name?

anyone hear benga and skream tonight? caught the last half an hour. not really my stuff at all but they had pokes with them and he was so good. i love to hear people having a great time on the radio and they seemed to be having the best time ever

When he played in NZ in October he played some werid stuff, ~155BPM (at a guess) .

On a local board at the time I wrote:

Anybody else know what that faster more percussive driving stuff was he played in the middle of his set? I'd say it was "housey" bit it certainly wasn't funky...

It was pretty much hard house with a rim shot on the 3, One note sub just rollin underneath. Kinda weird but it worked.

There was about 20mins of it if I recall correctly.

from the bits ive caught the last few weeks, skream and bengas shows are really funny. i dont like what they play that much but as presenters, theyre brilliant.

Anyone know where else it's going to be on sale? All the usual places? I have no idea how limited it's supposed to be. Who distributes DMZ releases?

Id imagine it would be at all usual places, redeye put most things up for pre-order long before they come out.

How many has DMZ pressed up in the past? Probably around the same, maybe a bit more with it being a triple-pack?

I think ST Holdings distribute DMZ.

Would have thought it would be in excess of 1,000 which is what I think they normally do. Think they would be fully aware that a lot of people want this one. Will definitely be available at all the normal places, if you get there within the first few days of it being on sale then you should be fine. A lot of the record stores that also sell online don't tend to sell out as fast - ie SOTU. What's the official release date?

dont think it has one.
its pretty steep though, 18 quid for whats apparently only 6 tracks.
still gonna try and get 2 copies though.

Mala's Myspace says first week of May, which is why I was wondering why it wasn't up in more places. It also says "limited press only", but who knows what that even means. £18 is a lot but it'll definitely be worth it.
