sort of, wasnt being very clear but mainly I was talking about the idea of being more creative with the limitations youve got because you have to. As opposed to having a room full of 1000's of pounds worth of gear and hundreds of VSts or whatever, imo people seem to come out with better stuff when they are constrained with either an idea or with the gear they are using etc.

Like if you sat someone in a room with 50 different instruments and the same person with a empty tin of cadburys roses they would probably only get to just about make the standard expected sounds from the 50 instrments but with the tin they would be forced to use it in a more creative way.

i've sent a couple off to Dissensian DJs, be interesting to get feedback on what it sounds like on a club system.
I don't even have proper monitors just pretty good hi-fi speakers :eek:

I usually make tunes with laptop speakers and cheap headphones. For final masterning I rent a few space in a proper studio. Easy.
