Nah, just cigarettes.
I smoke them very occasionally, because I'm only slightly cool.
Edit: e.g., Pete Doherty smokes cigarettes, but any coolness factor derived from that is more than cancelled out by the fact that he's a stumbling, acne-pocked junkie twat. Not to mention severely lacking in talent and famous primarily for banging the world's most glamorous toothpick.

I agree tobacco is massively over-taxed. I'm just talking about what smoking looks like more than anything.
This was meant to be a light-hearted thread on the aesthetic caché of cigarettes, which is why it's in Miscellaneous and not Politics.
Edit: and in any case, 'the Fedaral budget' is surely distinct from 'the coffers of the Republican party'? When I buy stuff that's taxed I don't personally enrich Gordon Brown or his party, do I?

a woman smoking can be damn hot
only problem is that the "object," i.e., the woman or gent, as you wish, destroys him/her self by so doing -- and symptoms of advanced lung disease are not at all attractive
of course if smoking weren't "bad," morally or health-wise, then it probably wouldn't be so hot
and yet, health and moral issues aside, there is something monstrous (dragon-like) or exotic about the act of smoking
it's a very complicated and therefore modern pleasure

I read in the paper a while back that smokers are more likely to be successful in the office environment because of smoke breaks.
Smoke breaks are usually taken in the same area everyone in the company takes smoke breaks, and so by being a smoker you get to know everyone a lot quicker on a day-to-day basis, and if your boss is a smoker, then you'll likely end up smoking next to your boss and being forced into conversation with them.

vicodin is just hydrocodone with APAP in it. if you're inexperienced enough to think that's a good high, i just feel bad for you. it tears up the lining of your stomach to take that stuff in excess.
crack, on the other hand, is whack.
i really think by the time you're high on crack regularly you've already lost any interest in socially normative concepts like "coolness" you may have once had
