My scientific survey of the entire world (conducted in one week in Morocco) showed that Messi is the most popular shirt. He has overtaken Ronaldinho, who himself overtook Beckham. I can't remember where I was on holiday when I carried out those last two experiments.

"The (Kurdish) guy in the shop near where I live is a Barce fan as well.... the cunt."
I was drunk when I wrote that. I should point out that he is actually a nice guy and that when I dropped a tenner in the shop he kept it behind the counter for a week or so and gave it back to me when next I went in. They knew it was me that dropped it 'cause they went through all the cctv footage!

"Will this work anywhere?"
Well, if it will work in Oxford...

Darned cockwombles.
I'll try it next time I'm there. if it does work then I shall try with increasingly obscure foreign football kits, until I am getting free tabs at shops all over Oxford for wearing a Dukla Prague away kit.

when i saw Half Man Half Biscuit recently loads of people were in the Dukla shirts.

legendary!

colour co-ordination could be key: so you could try for free Dairy Milk bars only in the Fiorentina home shirt (both purple innit), er, free bog roll in a Real Madrid kit, free Kit Kats in a Forest shirt and so on and so forth..

Just found this - thought I would share. "Fantasy football" and "England" rarely go together in the same sentence, but this is an exception.

Very strange decision that.
The best moment in the game today was that wonder save (kind of like Gordon Banks from Pele - kinda) by the Andorra keeper - then the ref gives offside and says it wouldn't have counted anyway - does that detract from it? In a way it sort of does.

The way he dropped Beckham's shot for the fifth certainly detracted from anything he did previously

True enough.
Anyway, Ronaldo to Madrid then. Along with Kaka that's quite a spending spree - guess they're smarting from Barce winning everything and the obvious response is a return to the Galacticos era. Wonder if it will work out.

As if there weren't already enough reasons to hate Real - a return to the Globetrotters era, spearheaded by the workd's least likeable footballer.
