Forgive me for gloating. That's the best I've seen Chelsea play all year. Unbelievable. Even Malouda is waking up under Hiddink - the man must be some kind of managerial genius. Only spoilt a little by Terry's 'I'm going to ram my head against a brick wall' moment. There's no finer sound in football than a muted Anfield.

I thought it was great, don't get me wrong, but NO-ONE WAS FOLLOWING HIM - the utter ridiculousness of zonal marking against a savvy manager like Hiddink.

Nah, haven't got it to lose, to be honest, although I may have next week. I don't bet ont he principle that I would be destitute within a matter of hours.
Chelsea have the beating of Barcelona for sure. How they gonna stop Terry and Lord Ivanovic from scoring at set pieces? And Drogba always comes up with important goals, especially against suspect defences.
I'd love nothing more than for Barca to win it, but I think Chelsea (who of course have very little to concentrate on in the league) will stop them just like they did in 2005, when Barca were similarly brilliant.
Of course, 2006 was the year when my pessimistic logic went out of the window and the two most exciting teams in Europe met in the final (when was the last time THAT happened? Answer - probably 1994, although one of them was brilliantly masquerading as a boring 1-0 win machine, before springing the ultimate surprise).
