Dear Jaie Miller:
The sometimes seemingly hopelessly fucked up situation in many parts of Africa is the result of the unfolding of very complex historical events which many non-Africans are either responsible or at least complicit, and it is not, in any way, shape, or form, any reason to not be proud to be African.
I am originally from China, have come into contact with many different cultures and people around the world, and i have nothing but massive, MASSIVE respect for African people and culture. I am constantly amazed by my African friends in many more ways than one; and right now i am living and breathing African music, from traditional to the stuff in this thread. if I am lucky i hope to go there soon, maybe even to live for a while.
chin up! you have a brother from a different mother here with nothing but love and respect for you and other Africans.
Dear Mister Sloane:
that Double M is so wonderful. effortless and elegant. those simple melodies so, so sweet...
to be honest i did not feel the Glen Lewis CD very much at all. it's really boring to my ears even as background music...
thanks for Dr Duda! i check it pronto!
