Chimpo has been djing since he was a young chimp.
He was a bad boy jungle dj at 13 even though he was on a pair of soundlab belt drives that were falling apart.
Since he was the age of 16, hes been knocking out killer hip hop, jungle, garage, grime and soul.
A couple years ago he had a go at making a dubstep track, this track 'Kryptonite' would be his first solo release and would be the first of a string of epic releases such as 'Dead', 'Lock Off' and 'Ruffest Tuffest'.

He has recently been working closely with Zed Bias and MRK1 and has forthcoming track on both of their labels.
Watch out for the forthcoming album with MRK1 entitled 'Totally Unauthorized' featuring completely illegal remixes of Lil Wayne, The Game, UGK and many more.

Dubsteppers Delight presents: DZ on the guest mix 28/10

DZ is a Dubstep DJ/Producer based out of San Francisco, CA via Canada's capital city, Ottawa. Recently featured in ATM Magazine's "Leaders of the Nu Skool" segment, and currently smashing dancefloors worldwide with this infectious bassline-driven tracks "Down" and "Old Timers", DZ is as driven to succeed as they come. His style has been described as "B-Boy swagger with Rave sensibilities" and his tracks are filled with body shaking subs, heavy drum breaks and witty call-and-answer high end melodies.
With a release schedule to be envied and a back catalogue of dubs that could last him for weeks, DZ brings an element to the dance that pays tribute to the early days of rave by playing a wide array of styles and influences in his sets.

He currently has releases on & forthcomings from Scuba, Black Acre, LoDubs, OffRoad, True Tiger, Aufect, Slit Jockey, Dubkraft, Dubstep Division, Mugswell Bill, RogueDubs, Middle School, Rottun, Bass Tourist and Fool's Gold, and has just fininished a special promo remix of Jokers of the Scene's "Baggy Bottom Boys" forthcoming on Fool's Gold Records which is bound to garner him alot of attention from a much wider audience going into 2009. As 2008 wraps up, DZ has seen his track "Down" (out on True Tiger Recordings TTR013) in the top 10 downloads of the Beatport Dubstep section over the last 10 weeks (as of 13/10/08 ), with 4 of those weeks in a row occupying the number one position. Where he finds the time to breathe is a kind of mystery, and if you asn anyone that knows him, they will most likely tell you that he is really a machine from another planet. He probably is.

As resident at the norths premier dubstep night ''Exodus''owned by the legendary Simon Scott.
Ryan has travelled all over the world with the night and gathered influences for his music.


Ryan's ecletic influences include Dub, Techno, Garage, Hip Hop, Drum And Bass, from artists like LTJ Bukem, Portishead, Richie Hawtin, 4 hero, Nightmares On Wax to name a few.

Under the alias J.Sparrow, Ryan didnt want to stick to one style of dubstep, but to make a variety of sounds that would hopefully appeal to all listeners from every background.

Ryan saw his first release in 2006 on leeds based label ''Senseless Records'' since then he has released on Mrk1's label ''Contagious'' and the next release
is due on Dj Pinch's ''Earwax'' with a following album in 2009 and other remix project's that are forthcoming on Bristol based ''Pollen ''.

With its five members, Afterdark have been taking the scene by storm over the last four years. Founding members Phazeman, Shy/Itchy Robot, Dicey and Skeeze were responsible for the groups first release, Slaughter Chamber, on Urban Graffiti Records which was signed back in 2005. After hearing this track and wanting in on the action Toxin became the final member of this forward thinking, big bass making collective of producers and DJ’s. Although members of the group have enjoyed success as solo producers and come from a broad background of musical genres including Drum and Bass, Garage and Indie it is as Afterdark that the group are enjoying new found success and attracting a new legion of fans.

Each of Afterdark's three producers has their own style for which they are known, from Toxin’s dark, twisted bass lines to Phazeman’s sinister, epic leads and Shy/Itchy Robot’s big impact dance floor fillers. Merging together influences such as Garage, Reggae and Dub, Drum and Bass, Electro as well as Heavy Metal it is inevitable that Afterdark’s collection of fresh sounds is bring something new and vibrant to the Dubstep scene.
