They’re my favorites so it’s only contrarian if you specifically want to piss me off, which is fair enough.

Ok, well the visual aspects of film: colour, tone, framing, depth, clarity, camera movement, etc. The surface details that I love and attach importance too and you hate and dismiss.

I actually read it right after watching as I was so frustrated with the film I had to read what other people had to say about it.

my firm belief is that if a film was so boring that you broke immersion and did start idly noticing these things then the film is very boring and bad
