I think this is the historical crux point, as appointed by future historians, of a globalist proto-totalitarianism. Anything else would necessitate a reactionary fascist coup, no? Of what? Of how many state apparatuses?

Also sounds like a cop died.

According to Politico a bunch of the protestors were off duty cops, so that really isn't a good look.

I think most people agree that he was very clearly reading it from an autocue and not doing his usual idiotic riffs on stuff.

For whatever reason he had decided to stick to a prepared script and not deviate from it whatsoever which is very unusual. There will be all sorts of theories about / explanations for this of course.

I referred to this momentum as globalist, which I have since acknowledged as a declaration of insufficient thoroughness. Even if its purely a reaction against any trump-colored nationalism, its still globalist-friendly, no? Nationalism is now officially parochial, insufficient, reactionary.
I generally use the term globalist too. It's a shorthand and perhaps its tainted but whatever Trump represented did seem to be, among other things, an insurrection against the globalists.

Yeah that's a good model, @DannyL

At Charlottesville you had the meeting of super nerd ironic memesters and people who were hardcore Nazis and I think probably that did not always go well.

This week my guess is that the off duty cops and military + militia/survivalist types + hardcore Nazis were in group 2.

It's actually a completely sensible tactic as long as group 1 don't get in the way too much because you need a large number of people to act as a distraction whilst nefarious deeds are done.

And it also seems clear that the globalists have now regained control. The China question is one of the most interesting ones. How it fits into the big picture is very ambiguous. The virus has made it even more intriguing and confusing.

I don't follow your logic here though. Why a reactionary fascist coup exactly?

Globalist is frequently used as a shorthand for Jews. It tracks back to sentiments about Jews as "rootless cosmopolitans", people without a homeland and obviously feeds into ideas about Jewish control of the financial system. This is how you end up reproducing antisemitic conspiratorial ideas.

I'm sure that we have been over this before but as you know there is no perhaps about it being tainted. It is tainted with anti-semitism.

Also I know that you think conspiracy theories are all fun and japes and nothing to get worked up about but using "Globalists" rather than focussing on international capitalism or something more systematic just makes this worse. "Globalists" embodies it in people.

I doubt we will agree on this and you will no doubt tell me to roll up a fat one and chill out Dad, but I just didn't think it could go unremarked on for my own conscience.

for me globalist is the most accurate word with the most recognition but if I you have an alternative then suggest it
