one of Stans best and most human characteristics is that he loves a pile on
What a fucking idiot the man is
This is the man whose response to the invasion was "Genius!"Trump was tough as hell. Ask Luke about him.
Yes, he said he would strike Moscow if Putin made a move on Ukraine on his watch.Yeah, if only your boy Donald were still in charge, then we'd some tough action against Russia, eh!
In summary, Russia’s defense enterprises continue to shrink in number; those that are left have constant problems with suppliers. The ability to address issues of attrition of equipment is becomes more challenging by the month. Today Putin can expend the resources and put the wear-and-tear on weapons system to deploy to the Ukrainian border and threaten the West. The question is whether that will still be possible five years from now.
Russia now threatening 'military consequences' for Finland and Sweden if they were to join NATO:
It does seem like this could have been avoided if US and/or NATO better acknowledged how the alliance could be seen as a threat from Russia's perspective.
I think we in the US may have a harder time imagining this perspective. What if we weren't global hegemon, and there was an international alliance led by some other global hegemon, and this alliance spread to include nations at our border? I think it becomes more understandable in this light.
Do you think he's gone mad?So he wants to take on NATO and do this with...nuclear weapons? Yeah, right.
Do you think he's gone mad?
Haha, "my boy"? Because I've written dizzy panegyrics to Biden, have I?Your boy, meanwhile, well... sad.
And for the record, I doubt anyone on this board is generally more pro technocratic liberal world order than I am, as of now. But even I can start to sympathize with Russia here, whom I ultimately still place the blame on.
