Thats good. I thought they had removed/were removing the need for a script. Its not available at all here.

I think they've empowered some pharmacists to prescribe it, not sure. but in our overly litigious society, they probably need to cover themselves with some sort of medical authority buffer. maybe paxlovid reacts badly with certain medical conditions or other drugs, someone needs to know yr medical history.

I don't take any other medications, so don't need to worry about interactions. I've known dozens of people who have taken it, no one has had a problem and it generally cleared up their symptoms in two days.

Just had a telemedicine video appt with my doctor, he's calling the paxlovid prescription in to my pharmacist but suggested I might want to hold on taking it if my current mild symptoms don't get worse. I started feeling crappy on Saturday and first tested positive yesterday, so we still have until Feb 9 to be within the five-day window. I'm not one to take medicines unnecessarily, so we'll see. if I feel worse, I'll have it on hand.

Obviously listen to the doc first, but to the best of my knowledge the sooner the better, and it's a generally a good idea to do it even with a 'mild' case because it will reduce the amount of viral replication inside your body and consequently, the risk of lingering symptoms and long covid.

Speaking of psyops, and given the talk in here a little while back about how only freaks, paranoid schizophrenics and asians still wear masks, it was interesting to see the extensive layered mitigations in place recently at Davos. Mandatory testing, N95 respirators, HEPA filtration and ventilation and virus killing UVC lights.

I wonder why 'the elites' are going to all this trouble for just a cold?

A flurry of reports came out last week from Davos, at the World Economic Forum, about the Covid protocols in place for that gathering of plutocrats and their enablers. High-quality ventilation had, of course, been installed, along with HEPA purifiers and far-ultraviolet-C lights to kill SARS-CoV-2. All attendees had to take a Covid test before coming to Davos, and then be tested again on-site before being granted access to the venues. Failure to do so, or a positive test, meant your badge was deactivated and you were locked out of the WEF. As the title of one article on the event put it: “Billionaires at Davos Don’t Think COVID Is a Cold.”

Every participant at the meeting had been strongly encouraged to be vaccinated with the latest booster jabs prior to their arrival. At the meeting they were given unique identification badges that allowed them access to several testing centers where they were offered free PCR test to ensure they did not have COVID.

In their Guidance on Health Measures, organizers of the WEF wrote, “Participants are required to get tested in one of the Forum testing centers after arriving in Davos and picking up their badges. Conducting a test will keep the badge active and grant the access to the Annual Meeting’s venues. Failing to conduct an onsite test or a positive test result will lead to the badge being deactivated.”

One should note that these same individuals have private physicians at their beck and call and access to the best healthcare services imaginable should they have been identified as infected with the virus.

Additionally, state-of-the-art ventilation and HEPA air cleaners have been made available in common spaces and private rooms and the over 3,000 attendants will ensure these areas are cleaned and disinfected several times a day. Free access to N95s and respirators was provided because the participants, who have called such measures useless (for working people), know very well that they work. In fact, meeting organizers said that on “Forum-provided official transport,” the requirement is for “all drivers (chauffeurs) [to] wear masks at all times.”

And apparently the WEF has been facing the facts that face masks can prevent transmission of the virus with the following requirement: “On Forum-provided official transport, all drivers will wear masks at all times.” The WEF has also been offering participants free face masks, both surgical and higher-quality filtering face piece 2 (FFP2) masks. The FFP2 masks use the European standard and are nearly comparable to N95 respirators.

I dunno. They surely are freaks, and some of them are Asian, but it is somewhat notable that the people telling everyone that covid is just a cold and is fine to catch repeatedly are taking serious precautions to avoid it themselves.

What would a paranoid Davos attendee believe, though? That some malnourished, illiterate kids in South Sudan are conspiring to rig the global system against them?

Wow. The psyop remains strong in here.

You don't touch it with a bargepole, obviously. Paxlovid has more interactions with other drugs than anything else, and then there's paxlovid rebound.
So strong I've never even heard of the drug

On day 10 of testing positive, although I've felt perfectly fine for the past 4-5 days. Since day one, very mild symptoms, had worse colds than this. Never needed to take the Paxlovid.

@HMGovt, would you entertain the possibility that the vaccine played any role in minimizing my symptoms? Is there a way to know it didn't?

Glad to hear it, mate.
