    Sleaford Mods

Brilliant video of the Mods performing in their front room, including a really, really great new song. Via the NME, of all places. http://www.nme.com/nme-video/sleaford-mods-film-fizzy--tiswas-for-nme/3467659651001

Have you heard any of the songs where he sings? Not sure how I feel about it. He has this really shaky, nasal soul croon. Plus the lyrics are completely different when he sings - much more vulnerable. So, has the new album leaked? I haven't been able to find it. Obviously, I'll get the vinyl...

    Sleaford Mods

I'm going to optimistically take this as a sign that someone is planning to reissue all the albums on vinyl. Finally found some Mods vitriol aimed directly at me personally. From "14-Day Court" (I think): "Sonic Youth fans, MBV/If you like feedback so much, why don't you get a job with the...

    Sleaford Mods

These two videos are amazing and say a lot about the band's appeal, I think. You have to watch each to the end to really get it. That look on his face at the end of the "Donkey" vid... what does that say to you?

Also loved this review. Points 4 and 6 alone trump K-Punk's entire Wire piece (I don't disagree with anything he says "but it's all so fucking boring"). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone else a fan? At first I thought it was the worst thing I'd ever heard. But I kept wanting to hear it again. Now I think it's genius. Bits of The Fall, John Cooper Clarke, The Streets, Half Man Half Biscuit and - weirdest of all - Le Tigre.

    I want Moorcock

Elric! I have read and enjoyed The Singing Citadel, The Sleeping Sorceress and Stormbringer. Basically, it's all day-glo psychedelic swords & sorcery. Silly as shit and very much of its time but if that's what you're in the mood for it really, really hits the spot.

    Muslimgauze

I used to be a massive Coil fan but I found Sleazy's behaviour/pronouncements towards the end of his life extremely disturbing and stopped listening to anything he was involved in. I came back to it, though. I stopped listening to Current 93 for a long time to because of his association with...

    Best Of 2013 Lists

I would like to amend my top ten to put The Vertical Axis by Ian Crause at number two: (It's the main dude from Disco Inferno)

    Worst of 2013 Lists

Interesting that he puts the MBV album in one of his "best" lists. I was the under the impression that he didn't like it. Particularly gratifying that he flags up "In Another Way", which is obviously the best fucking song ever recorded (right now).

    Worst of 2013 Lists

Actually, Woebot gave me a lot of guidance during the final stages of making that album. I think he even picked the final tracklisting, so he'd better like it! ;) Trying to think of anything I particularly hated this year. The whole hipster techno thing is aggravating but I actually like some...

New connect_icut album now avaliable on LP/CD/DL

Cheers. I should point out that there's a remix EP coming out next year that features an awesome Kuma remix of the first song from this album. There's also going to be another LP and goodness knows what else.

New connect_icut album now avaliable on LP/CD/DL

The new connect_icut album – Crows & Kittiwakes Wheel & Come Again – is now available on LP (with deluxe eight-page booklet) and CD. The most intense and cosmic expression of the connect_icut sound so far, it anchors all manner of granular chaos and glitched-out abstraction in a solid foundation...
