    Africans in Grime

SKU or "Skuffa" who used to roll with SLK still MC's in a strong african accent. He's the only MC I've heard do it. It sounds big.

Is anyone in Grime/NUKG/Garage actually making any money?

Between 2 and 8 thousand units of DVDs Mix cds is a bit different. They have just started selling Guns n Roses in HMV so that should skew the figures in a positive direction

Is anyone in Grime/NUKG/Garage actually making any money?

Wile does around 2000 whites per release. Most good tracks do between 750 and 1200 units. DVDs get sold to shops for between 6 and 8 pounds each and sold on for 12-18 pounds. So the makers and the shops make a lot of profit off DVDs

If anyone wants to hear Merc, it should be on the sets I recorded with Faction G on Rinse and 1xtra from 2003/4 which are available on a good p2p near you.

    Africans in Grime

I don't think this really has any bearing on anything.

    More MIA

I don't mind MIA. She is so far removed from the grime scene as a whole she can't be classified as an artist who is exploiting it for media coverage or credibilty. And when I heard some of her stuff from XL it draws on a large number of different musical influences. The record just sounds like...

    Bottom Star in Grime Shock!

I read this on RWD and thought it was a wind up. Apparently Footsie was watching it live from his front room.

Who's reaching the DEE/Ears/Jammer event tonight in NYC?

lol yer... I'm always worried about stepping on someone's Etnies at Eskimo Dance. It could all kick off and I'd get my face smashed in with skaterboarders key chains....

Whose reaching Fabric - London 4th March? Run The Road

In regards to the reloads situation.... MC's do have a habit of leaning over and reloading tracks themselves.

    Roll Deep on Westwood

They shouldn't have gone on yet. The album has no name, and no release date, and they have no release date for their first single. Was lively though

    RFI: Jim Jones

He's in Dipset. On My Way To Church is a great album just down to Jones' honesty and the productions on there. He's not the most technically able of rappers, but he makes up for it in charisma and experiences

    Backwards?

Ironically enough The Beatles had to go to Europe to generate a fanbase because they weren't all that well received in Britain.
