Germany doesn't seem too keen on Musk, maybe cos he tried to intervene in their elections in favour of the far right or maybe it was the nazi salute thing.

A friend of mine has been talking about how we haven't yet developed proper memetic hygiene, as a society, and that a lot of the recent culture war stuff (like the SJW cultural wave, and now this MAGA cultural wave) are essentially memetic plagues that we haven't developed proper resistance too yet. The term 'mind virus' could actually turn out to be quite apt, applying to both extremes of the culture war.

BREAKING: Ontario Premier Doug Ford just canceled Elon Musk’s Starlink contract: “We’re ripping up Ontario’s contract with Starlink. It’s done, it’s gone. We won’t award contracts to people who enable and encourage economic attacks on our province and our country.” They have also just banned all U.S. companies from government contracts.

Human neurons share at least some information via exosomes, viruslike particles recently identified as crucial to learning and memory. So either it's apt, or the brain has been using mind viruses forever and it's passe. Maybe people can physically shed these exosomes and their payload of mRNAs, etc., Close contact with people infected with a set of ideas or predisposition to certain mental connections could conceivably result in contagion.

Anyone else see the sci fi dystopia unfurling? Starlink does not bode well for the future.

When you've retired to your yacht in Polynesia, you'll look back and laugh at that take as you download your latest hot anime WiFu via starlink to your brainstem.

Elon Musk is telling Republican lawmakers in private meetings that he is not to blame for the mass firings of federal workers that are causing uproar across the country,

The lady doth protest too much

....efforts to distance Musk from radical job slashing made over the last two months. This is despite the tech entrepreneur boasting about cuts, recommending the US “delete entire agencies” and taking questions on the issue alongside the US president, then wielding a chainsaw at an event to symbolize his efforts.

Cos loads of people are complaining to their mps etc and in turn they are complaining to Musk.
