> The rules of pruning, as I may have mentioned elsewhere, are usually very simple and can be applied to almost any shrub or tree. Generally, it’s best to remove:
> 1. Dry, diseased, or damaged branches.
> 2. Branches that are too close together or overlapping, competing for the same space and light.
> 3. Branches that intertwine, interfering with the “radial” growth in relation to the main axis or axes of the foliage.

It's like that bit at the end of parkland, an ultra weird robotic dialogue, like in a play.

They're talking about preparing to go out on a cold and frosty morning, I think.

The only known use of the adjective haruspicate is in the mid 1600s.

OED's only evidence for haruspicate is from 1652, in the writing of John Gaule, Church of England clergyman and author.

For the genus of beetles, see Haruspex (beetle).
In the religion of ancient Rome, a haruspex[a] was a person trained to practise a form of divination called haruspicy, the inspection of the entrails[c] of sacrificed animals, especially the livers of sacrificed sheep and poultry. Various ancient cultures of the Near East, such as the Babylonians, also read omens specifically from the liver, a practice also known by the Greek term hepatoscopy (also hepatomancy).

The Roman concept is directly derived from Etruscan religion, as one of the three branches of the disciplina Etrusca.

The Latin terms haruspex and haruspicina are from an archaic word, hīra = "entrails, intestines" (cognate with hernia = "protruding viscera" and hira = "empty gut"; PIE *ǵʰer-) and from the root spec- = "to watch, observe". The Greek ἡπατοσκοπία hēpatoskōpia is from hēpar = "liver" and skop- = "to examine".

"Oracle" and "white destiny"

Seems like there's some sort of ancient pagan divination ritual involved perhaps. It's so incredibly weird when it's delivered in this emotionless robotic style

This one and parkland are amazing, you get this uncanny feeling that you're reading some sort of translated but untranslatable ancient sacred text.
