at a certain point, these attorneys risk being sanctioned or even disbarred if they see filing frivolous lawsuits.
Takes so long to filter through though. I mean I don't think it will affect what's happening now, although hopefully something will come down the pipe and bite a few of these nutters in the ass next year.

Apparently with the score at 59 - 1, all of Trump's lawsuits have been defeated at least once. There are some which are being appealed but no new ones that have not been thrown out remain.

best part will be watching pence with his evangelical balls in a ringer tomorrow

For the vice president, whom the Constitution assigns the task of tallying the results and declaring a winner, the episode could be particularly torturous, forcing him to balance his loyalty to Mr. Trump with his constitutional duties and considerations about his own political future.

So electoral college votes today I think.... any shenanigans expected? Trump previously said he would leave if it voted against but he's now moved to "the only important day is 21st January" along with all his crazy (financial) supporters so, most likely, it will just be yet another nail in his increasingly pincushion-like coffin.
The big question from here is gonna be, how can they prevent this farce at every single election moving forward?

I've seen this mentioned, seems crazy though. What do you think? Are you backing it as much as you did the kraken stuff? Or is it more of a spicy surprise like Hunter's laptop?

Yes that's precisely what's happened. It's the thing that's going around about how Trump can use the executive order he made a couple of years ago to announce that he's seizing power cos of foreign interference in the election or something like that.

So, a month and two weeks after the election, the day after the electoral college confirmed Biden, finally Moscow Mitch has acknowledged that he (Joe not Mitch) IS the president elect. Well done.

Yeah, gotta love how Trump's two biggest enablers -- McConnell and Barr -- are immediately dismissed as traitors the second they take one step off the yellow brick MAGAroad.

I went into DC last night to visit a girl I've been seeing. I met her from a dating app, due to the fact that bars are shut down, its hard to meet people. As she's on top of me, she stops kissing me, looks me in the eyes and asks, "You didn't vote for Trump did you?"
I stared back at her for a brief moment, politely peeled her off of me. Then without a word, began putting my clothes and my shoes on. She is frantically asking where I am going as I take the rest of the bottle of Syrah to the face. I said "I can't see you anymore" and left.
On the journey home, I take the most beautiful road in the country, George Washington Memorial Parkway. Right on the bank of the Potomac. For those familiar, there are many scenic overlooks on this road. I had an insatiable desire to stop and enjoy the brisk December evening.
As I sit on the stone wall overlooking the river, frogs croaking, Washington Monument peering over the trees in the distance, DC lights illuminating the sky; I became overwhelmed with emotion. I gazed at Washington's monument, while I sit on his road, overlooking his city.9 Eyes glossy, I contemplate the state of this country. How in God's name did We reach this point. What would Washington think? I looked to the sky for answers. For a sign. Something. Lo and behold, the biggest shooting star I've ever seen slices through the midnight sky. I am not religious man, but this is the closest I've ever felt to God. So I gave prayer a chance for the first time since I was a child. I asked God what is it that I am expected to do. My business is crippled. My People are persecuted. My country is tainted with corruption.
As a man who swore an Oath to defend The Constitution from ALL THREATS FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC, how am I expected to sit idly by and watch darkness descend over the greatest nation the world has ever known? My country. And in that moment, I was given the gift of sight. A vision.
In order to vanquish the evil that lurks in the shadows, We must bring it into the light. Simply eliminating a formless entity without the People knowing [they] existed, does NOT protect the future from the same fate. Illumination is the only way. Rather apropos, no?
Essentially, I was told this is not over. Just as I was meant to see something as I peered into the DC sky; the world is meant to see something to safeguard the future from making the same mistakes of the past. "Only at the precipice, do people find the will change."
I do not know what will happen. I do not know what Trump plans to do. However, I do know, on Jan 20th, Trump will remain in office. In due time, all of us will see what it is we are meant to see. The darkness will be brought into the light, and in the end... God wins.*

That reads like something that's been posted on a Facebook tag group called "I'll take 'things that never happened' for $800, Alex".

No it definitely did. You don't know cos you've never heard the bullfrogs croaking in, er, December in Washington, you don't know how it makes one feel.
Anyway, the Georgia thing is coming up next. Am I right in saying that if the Dems do win that they will - despite how it looked on the night - control The House, The Senate and the Presidency? Would that make it possible to bring in the kind of democratic reform that would prevent this kind of post-election nonsense becoming an inevitable part of the four yearly cycle, and also introduce some kind of restraints on a potential rogue president?
