Do you remember when Google Glass was announced and they were talking about being able to look at strangers and pull up their social media etc? Such a terrible idea. Obviously loads of people were immediately like "Great! You've created the perfect tool for stalking!".

these devices are like a bit of supplementary brain, containing all sorts of stuff - lots of raw data obvs, but also all our personal stuff (finance, work, dating, porno, social, ...), and all highly customised and completely secret,
like an extension of our personality, but
