the ultimate end goal of crypto (now at least - aka "web 3.0") means firstly publishing all events on the internet onto some kind of blockchain and secondly their financialisation.

For a start, the IRS last week conceded that unrealised defi gains are of no interest. Too many exotic transactions, too much anonymity. The panopticon has been jammed, cannot digest

There is something I can post when I'm on desktop, that doesn't give too much away, yes. You'll laugh, it's ridiculous. And yet..

In a bit

etherorcs_horde_banner.png
1 ETH = about £2,100 today
So about £250/day
£91,000 pa at today's prices
This is yield alone, the NFTs themselves are worth around £60,000 in total today. First two were minted free of charge, used their yield to mint 5 more since October.

This is relatively modest. Some people have 45+ of these things doing the same thing.

Are you cashing out each month or stacking eth?

Cashing out a bit lately. Need a new MacBook soon, so that will eat into it. Word about etherorcs is spreading, so they could go to the moon, up there with the apes and punks.

One perk of this is that other equally lucrative projects are keen to get people from etherorcs on board, so it keeps rolling.

Another interesting one is doomsdaynft.io
Totally different model, but there's 179+ Ethereum at stake for the last surviving bunker. There were 1300, now down to the last 30.

Good on you. I think a 50/50 cash & retention is healthy in these scenarios

Can't say i have the interest to get too deep but there's a few people making a couple of quid in Sorare too apparently. That does feel a bit ponzi-ish though

Certainly a graft to be had.

so are these characters that people can play in a game and you are sort of lending those out to them?

That may happen in future. Right now, it's still in set up phase, with all the main characters being created. So there is a value to production indexed to the cost of new characters.

The game theory is finely tuned, circular, and deflationary. They have plans to offer more interactive gameplay, land, and more in future. They haven't put a foot wrong yet, the developers seem super smart.

there's loads of these now right? axie infinity, defi kingdoms etc. i fear i will never understand it but my intuition says it will only last for so long so may your orcs and ogres work hard for you for as long as it lasts.
